Emily is a multimedia journalist who got her start as a middle school teacher. She is an Education Reporter at 90.9 WBUR, Boston’s NPR station.

Her work has appeared on NPR, WBUR, and in The Emancipator, Dorchester Reporter and other venues. She has been a guest on Morning Edition, Radio Boston and The Common, and her reporting has been featured on Here & Now.

Emily holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University and an M.Ed from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

She is fascinated by the way our experiences intersect with the systems that shape the world. She loves telling stories about people and their schools.

Originally from New Jersey, she lives in Massachusetts with her partner and two cats.
